When I returned to North Carolina in August, I ran into my friend and he broke the bad news to me. He had edited our conversation down into three stories and his superiors at WFDD declined to run any of them, effectively spiking the conversation.

I reached out to the station’s Content Director and News Director asking for permission to receive and post the stories on my own social media. The Content Director declined. I then asked to meet with him to get a fuller understanding of the specific reasons the story was pulled. He declined.

And what do Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and Russia all have in common? They’ve all been getting heir asses kicked in regional conflicts, either by Israel or by Ukraine, both of which are backed by the United States.

Now must have seemed like the right time to settle Assad’s hash, with his catspaw Hezbollah absolutely wrecked by Israel and Russia too busy with their own conflict(s) to offer much if anything in the way of aid.

By the way, the slain CEO was being investigated by the Department of Justice on suspicion of insider trading. Could that have something to do with why he was killed? Was he prepared to testify against other executives suspected in that case? Or was somebody afraid that he might spill the beans about something else? IYKWIMAITYD.
