Shiny Happy People

"Paradox free time travel" courtesy of 93 WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback. At the beginning of November, they were traveling back to 1991.

I own a copy of this album, but I have not listened to it at a very long time. R.E.M. was all the rage when this album came out. The 1st single of the album, hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 on their Mainstream Rock list. Today's song didn't reach quite that high, but still high enough to get a lot of time on the radio.

This is "Shiny Happy People" by R.E.M. with additional vocals by Kate Pierson of the B-52's. It was the 2nd single released from the 1991 album Out of Time. (When I see Kate Pierson in this video, I think how we were all so much younger in 1991.)
