From Miguel Gonzalez we get a story from two years ago. When seconds count, the police are just minutes away.
An 8-year-old girl called 911, and told dispatch that her father was threatening her stepmother.
9 minutes later cops kicked in the front door, and found 4 people dead. The little girl, her 4-year-old half-brother, and the parents had been shot.

Calling 911 is a fine thing to do, but it isn't always the solution to your problems.
