How many "pending sexual assault cases" need to exist before this guy is considered a threat? Two is obviously not enough. I guess three is the magic number.
man awaiting trial for two violent sexual assault attempts is now linked to a third case in which a home invader sexually assaulted a woman in Logan Square. Denzel Tyree, 29, has been in jail since prosecutors accused him earlier this year of violently attacking and trying to sexually assault a 16-year-old girl in 2022 and a pregnant woman in January.
Now, prosecutors are charging him with a September 13, 2023, home invasion and sexual assault
At least the judge - for the time being - has ordered him to be held. The charges are "home invasion, attempted criminal sexual assault during the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated battery by strangulation."
So, tell me again how keeping violent criminals in jail is unfair. Of course it would help if what passes for a Criminal Justice System (so called) in Chicago could get on board with that "speedy trial" thing.
