The Gun-Hating part of the Left loves to go on about how if you own a gun, you are more likely to shoot someone you know than a complete stranger. There is a good reason for that. Tallahassee prosecutors say father shot son in Ox Bow Road shooting
A father had shot his son after the son threatened his mother and charged at his father with a knife. Because the shooting was deemed self defense, Dugan said no charges were brought and the case is closed.
Perfect strangers are rarely an issue. Oh, they can be, if encountered on the street in robberies, and carjacking and the like. But people you know, even relatives, can be a threat.
People you know includes a lot of people. The ex-coworker turned stalker. The creepy guy from the coffee shop. Ex-boyfriends/ex-girlfriends. All of these and more can become violent problems, as can family members.
Very few details are being released in this case, to protect the identities of the victims.
