This story highlights the fact that most of us need more time at the range.
Police said the homeowner found the intruder in the kitchen after being alerted by the family dog.
The homeowner fired one shot with a handgun, but the suspect fled the scene.
Paris, Texas is about 100 miles, or a 2 hour drive, northwest of Dallas.
Since the investigation is ongoing, very little data has been released, but I think it is clear that they won't arrest the homeowner. This didn't happen in NYC, after all.
