He was out of prison on parole for attacking a woman and teen. He now faces charges for attacking two more women in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. Those were not the first women he attacked.
Lakeview is on the north side of the Chicago. It is home to both Wrigley Field, and the area once known as Boystown. There are any number of clubs (or there were), restaurants, etc. There is also a collection of theaters for live performances of various kinds. It is, or was, a nice area of the city.
A review of Mack’s arrest history indicates that authorities have had multiple opportunities to pursue serious charges against Mack since 2014, but they frequently settled for misdemeanors.
Click thru for details including one case where he attacked a woman in her own home, but they only charged him with misdemeanor criminal trespass and battery. They later dropped the case. They also dropped a case in which he was accused of attack a girl between 13 and 17 years of age.
So the question becomes, "How seriously does the Illinois State's Attorney's Office for Cook County take crime?" Not very seriously.
Why does the Left believe that behavior will change without consequences?
