The City of Midland tells NewsWest 9 that a suspect burglarized a north Midland home Saturday morning and was killed by the homeowner who used self-defense.
Midland, Texas is about 300 miles by car west of Fort Worth.
While the investigation is ongoing, the police are pretty clear that this is a case of justified self-defense. Not only is self-defense a human-right, but this took place in Texas, not in Manhattan.
The Midland Odessa area is an island in the middle of a vast ocean of scrub mesquite, cactus, and unbelievably big cotton fields.
