Self-defense Is Legal in North Carolina

But then I thought it was. No charges for homeowner who shot would-be burglar

A Knightdale homeowner will not face charges for shooting a man who was trying to break in last week.

More details can be found at this link. He Was Warned the Homeowner Was Armed.

A week to make this decision, even in a place like North Carolina is amazing. In Blue States and Blue Cities it can take months for DAs to admit that self-defense is legal.

Capps said, "We are grateful that the homeowner and his wife survived this ordeal. Furthermore, the suspect’s survival means that he can now be held accountable in a court of law.”

And no matter what DAs think, self-defense is a human-right.

  1. Huh, I read the article calling for regulation of devices and services by American Conservative. It read like a Brady mom calling for gun control... if you did a simple search and replace, with guns, gun stores, etc you'd have almost the same article, written by the "other side".

Don't know the answer, I'm going thru this with a 12 and a 14 yo at the moment, but I know that imposed laws and regulations won't be the correct answer, any more than the left's calls for the same on guns is the right answer.

I don't read American Conservative, are they always looking for a "big government" solution? or is this article anomalous?

    1. The truth is that there is very little difference between Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats want to regulate some things. Republicans want to regulate other things. Both are in favor of open borders, and the rest of the insanity.
