I found out about Dorothy, because the lead singer from the band, Dorothy Martin, performed on Nita Strauss's most recent album. I liked her voice, so I went looking for the band. The band consists of vocalist Dorothy Martin, guitarist Sam “Bam” Koltun, bassist Eliot Lorango, and Jake Hayden playing drums.
They formed in 2014, and apparently impressed the folks at Rolling Stone, which doesn't mean as much as it once did, but it got things rolling for them.

This is "A Beautiful Life" by Dorothy from their 2022 album Gifts From The Holy Ghost. It is their 3rd studio album.
Very nice blues rock number. I'll look for some more.
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to Dorothy for a few months, found her when the local college station played a few of their songs. Beautiful voice, good lyrics.
