It is your fault that you are a victim of crime. Queens pol demands CVS crack down on shoplifters
Councilman Robert Holden (D-Queens) wrote a scathing letter to CVS President Karen S. Lynch Wednesday demanding the drugstore chain start cracking down on shoplifting.
Really? The victim of a crime should start "cracking down" on that crime. Really?!?!
How about you write a letter to the District Attorney, the Attorney General, the mayor, the governor, the legislature, and anyone else in on the "Shoplifting isn't a crime under $1000," or whatever they have determined that to be in New York.
The people in charge of New York have no concept of what they are doing to the people of New York. No punishment for crime is going to yield more crime. Or to put it in economic terms, if you make something cheaper, you will see more of it.
Start the crackdown by closing the stores. No stores means no shoplifting.
