Self-defense Is Legal in St. Louis

Though the cops don't like it when you insinuate they might shoot you. St. Louis jury finds man acted in self-defense, acquits him of murder

He shot a man on his front porch. Cops didn't like the fact that he didn't do what they said the instant they said it.

Barge then went back inside his house to retrieve his cell phone, but by the time he was ready to come out, police had arrived. Peddicord said. Barge waited in the house until police assured him they would not shoot if he came out.

So he spent 9 months in jail, awaiting trial.

This week, after a one-day trial, Barge was acquitted.

Will the DA and/or the cops have to answer for anything? Of course not. (Hat tip to Keep and Bear Arms.)
