Another Instance of Cops Not Being Able to Read a Map

At around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Farmington Police Department was dispatched to a domestic violence call on Valley View Avenue.

According to New Mexico State Police, Farmington police officers mistakenly approached the wrong house.

They ended up killing the homeowner who came to the door; he was armed.

I'm guessing no lights and no sirens because it was 11:30 and they wouldn't want to disturb anyone. Or something.

1. Cops need to learn how to read a damn map.
2. Cops need to not shoot every armed person they see.
3. Cops need to learn how to read a damn map.

Nothing will happen to these cops. The article doesn't say, but they are probably on "administrative leave," or some other euphamism for paid time off. There is a small chance that they are working in the office only, but I would bet good money they are on paid time off.

They won't get more training. They won't be on probabtion. They certainly won't be fired. And they probably won't learn how to read a damn map.
