Wow, knew all but two and could sing along. WGN after school and in the summer time... So many memories. Afternoon Delight while waiting in my parents car to see the fireworks in our little village one summer... radio hits were such a big part of our shared experience back then.
I do object to labeling Foghat as a one hit wonder, they had a couple other successful songs. Ditto for The Knack, especially Good Girls Don't (but I do.)
Like a lot of one hit wonders, I thought some of those were by other established bands.
And I understand not listing "Billy Don't Be A Hero" by Paper Lace which was a big hit in Chicago, because The Night Chicago Died is more generally acknowledged as their one big US hit... but it was a part of my life at the time (I have a very specific memory of hearing it in the shower while getting ready for school. Weird huh?
And Run Joey Run! Who could forget that???
People tend to think the music of the 70s sucked because of disco and easy listening, but it was a really transitional decade with some great stuff.
