McClanahan hit the clerk with objects from the counter as Weaver shot him again with her pepper spray gun. The spray appeared to have no effect.
Pepper spray, that hit him directly in the face did have a roll in stopping him, but as more officers showed up to the scene, they also tried pepper spray with no impact.
Pepper spray is not worth the time to discuss it. It puts everyone who relies on it in danger. A 5 cell Maglite or and well delivered thumping with hard fists usually works better. Also, those do not get all over everybody and make them suffer, just the puke.
