One guy got shot. One guy was arrested.
The sheriff’s office said a 23-year-old who lived in the residence on State Route 26 received messages that threatened to harm him earlier on Sunday.
Shortly afterward, authorities said Sena-Bruzek, along with a male resident of Greene, N.Y., broke into the victim’s residence. They said that the male from Greene pointed a handgun at the victim.
But the intended victim was armed with a shotgun, and fired one shot, striking the home invader in the abdomen.
Cops caught up with the injured guy a short distance away and had him transported to a local hospital. They haven't discussed charges for the guy who got shot. But then I doubt he will be going anywhere any time soon. A shotgun blast to the stomach will ruin your day.
The guy who got arrested faces a whole slew of charges including burglary in the first degree.
Self-defense is a human-right. And in New York, it might be your legal right, though I am not sure I would count on that.
