He went to check on a neighbor when he heard a disturbance. There was a man with a knife.
The man went outside and was followed by the 19-year-old who was still carrying the knife, police said.
The concealed carry holder drew his gun and shot the 19-year-old, police said.
The guy who got shot was taken to a local hospital and is in good condition.
The investigation continues, but even in Chicago self-defense is a human-right.
