He was walking away; he could have kept on walking. Deputies: Driver shoots, kills robber in self-defense in Seffner.

Is Greed one of the deadly sins?

His truck broke down, and he was trying to fix it, when the would-be bad-guy showed up and wanted "valuable items."

"The driver handed him several items, and the man walked away," the sheriff's office wrote in a press release.

But, authorities say the alleged thief came back.

In the interim the guy had armed himself. When the would-be bad-guy came back for more stuff, he got shot.

"This is believed to be a case of self-defense at this time," the sheriff's office said.
