OK, so the study was only used in New South Wales, and Victoria, but those include Syndey and Melbourne. I believe they are the 2 largest provinces in that country. Most Americans have no idea that Australia is divided into provinces, let alone what they are.
The Victorian government referenced a paper published in Plos One during July 2020 by the Burnet Institute to justify its mandatory face mask policy.
Thousands of dollars worth of fines were issued by Victoria Police in relation the mask mandate.
The legitimacy of these mandates has been called into question after the Burnet study was found to be ‘riddled with basic errors’ to the point that, according to medical researchers, it should ‘never have been published’.
Trust the science, even when the science is bogus, apparently. Especially if it lets you unleash a police state, collect 10s of thousands in fines, and generally overturn democracy.
When asked to defend its mandatory mask policy for Victorians, the Department of Health was unable to offer any further scientific basis for the direction.
