This was an incident that happened 2 years ago. Howard County homeowner who shot suspected intruder speaks out
A guy was at a friend's home. He went for a walk. When he returned he went to the wrong house. He broke in, and was shot.
Before he got shot there were threats and profanity. The homeowner kept telling him "you're in the wrong place." Didn't matter.
The autopsy showed his blood alcohol level was 3-times the legal amount to drive.
Dorsey said what he finds bothersome is the public debate and narrative that concluded he and his wife "weren't compassionate or should have shown more compassion with the whole situation."
Because the media has to find some way to vilify gun-owners. Guns and the people who own them must be bad. It is the narrative. They should just have let some belligerent stranger break into their home. Right.
Apparently they never questioned why the guy felt justified in breaking in. Because he was a "victim." Or something.
As I said at the time, alcohol really can be hazardous to your health; it makes you do stupid sh*t.
Dorsey said if he were to find himself in a similar situation, there could be a similar response.
Here is a link to my brief post from when this happened. It contains the threats.
And this second link is when the DA decided that it was self-defense. It contains the info on blood alcohol levels
