If you're so drunk that you break into a stranger's home, you might not like the outcome. Gig Harbor homeowner fatally shoots intruder, deputies say
Investigators said a man broke into a home in the 7600 block of Hidden Lane Northwest after 10 p.m.
According to deputies, the homeowner confronted the man, who they say was “intoxicated” and shot him.
Police think that the guy who got shot had a relative somewhere in the area. Perhaps he thought he was breaking into that relative's home. (Even that is not a good idea.)
You should just not break into homes. Relatives or not. And if you find someone you don't know... well... You know what, just don't break into homes.
The homeowner has not been arrested, because self-defense is a human-right.
