And Mark has a new AR. St Louis attorney Mark McCloskey poses with new rifle after being forced to give up weapon he pulled on protesters
Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was fined $2,000, while Mark McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and was fined $750.
They also had to surrender the firearms used that day, which the judge ordered destroyed. But Mark was able to pick up an new AR. (How many millions of AR-15s have been manufactured in the past year?)
They dropped all charges, except for a claim I instilled “imminent fear” in the mob
Which seems like the entire point of the exercise.
The McCloskey's view the misdemeanor charges as a face-saving act on the part of the gun-hating prosecutor. Buying a new AR, and posing for pictures (click thru) is a poke in the eye to that prosecutor.
Though I think I would move out of that jurisdiction.
