And I Thought the 4th Amendment Was Dead

Not yet, anyway. Supreme Court restricts use of warrantless searches in homes

Statists everywhere are disappointed.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the unanimous decision.

"The very core of the Fourth Amendment's guarantee is the right of a person to retreat into his or her home and 'there be free from unreasonable governmental intrusion,'" Thomas wrote.

People are going on about how this is a win for the 2nd Amendment, but the 2nd Amedment was not involved.

  1. Would like to think this decision would apply to red flag laws

  2. Just because the court didn't rubber stamp the cops criminalities doesn't mean they will cease violating our rights. They know quite well that the vast majority of the victims of their predations lack the resources to effectively oppose them in the "legal" (sic) system. And on the rare occasion someone CAN prevail against them NOTHING OF CONSEQUENCE will happen to them personally. Therefore they have NO incentive to stop violating our rights.
