Ethanol, and Butane are used to extract THC concentrates. Butane is especially problematic, because it is heavier than air, and pools in places like sumps, or just low places in the floor. Then it only needs the sump pump, or a refrigerator to kick on, or encounter a pilot light, and boom.
This case is particularly bad, because the fire marshal had ordered the business to cease operations because of a failed fire inspection.
