The Professor Parabellum design from the ‘9mm Bullet Hose – Homebuilt Submachine Gun’ PDF shown to the press amongst a table of seized homemade and 3D printed firearms recently seized by police in Western Australia.

The Australians seem to be fighting a losing battle against 3D printed firearms, and the Professor Parabellum designs.

The plans for the 9mm Bullet Hose can be found at this link. The version shown in the photos and the video of the firearm seized in Australia includes a suppressor not included in the design.

The 9mm Bullet Hose is designed to be built with nothing more complicated than a drillpress, and some basic welding. It seems to share some design philosophy with the venerable M3 Grease Gun.

The New Jersey So-Called Assault Weapons Ban

Friday the U.S. Court of Appeals’ Third Circuit handed down a decision invalidating New Jersey's ban on so-called assault weapons and magazines holding more than 10 rounds. While much has been written and said by the news media, it seems a lot of people have overlooked one aspect.

Few noted that Judge Arianna J. Freeman, a Biden appointee, wrote the sweeping opinion striking down the bans. Three Biden appointees – Freeman, Montgomery-Reeves, and Chung – voted to strike down New Jersey’s assault weapon ban, although Judge Chung only partially joined the opinion.

NSSF has called them out in the past for their bought-and-paid-for activism and it’s time to do it again. Pull back the curtain and it’s easy to see that the antigun movement isn’t much more than a few billionaires and activist foundations pouring cash into their pet gun control projects…to the tune of over $400 million every year.

A recent report from the Crime Prevention Research Center documents just 43 murders nationwide from 20 attacks involving Glock switches over the 2021-2026 period — meaning fatal lightning strikes killed nearly twice as many Americans during the same window.

It is all about feelings in the 21st century.

What Additional Gun Control Law Would Stop This?

Do you think that a felon, in possession of a firearm (that's illegal) would obey a safe storage law? Boy dies after finding 5-time felon's handgun in Pullman home: prosecutors - CWB Chicago

A Chicago man with a lengthy criminal history is facing felony charges after a 2-year-old boy allegedly found his loaded handgun and fatally shot himself inside a Pullman home.

Pullman is one of the 77 official neighborhoods in Chicago. It is on the south side, about 12 miles south of the Loop.

Hughes is prohibited from possessing firearms because of his criminal record, which includes convictions for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in 2016 and 2020. Prosecutors said his record also includes convictions for reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated fleeing and eluding, both in 2016.

Gun Sales Soar in Response to Bans

We've been reporting on the surge in gun sales in Virginia over the past few months, a boom caused by Democrats' wave of gun control legislation that includes a ban on so-called assault firearms and large capacity magazines. Now a similar wave appears to be forming in Maryland in response to Gov. Wes Moore's signature on a bill that will ban the sale of Glocks and other striker-fired handguns later this year.

I have not been following this very closely, not live in Virginia. I have to say that it sounds completely stupid.

Anti-gun activists know that passage of their favored gun control laws leads to a spike in sales in the short term, but they're willing to make that trade-off because once a law takes effect its impact will be felt for as long as it remains in place.

Illinois Sued Over Firearms Owners ID Card

Illinois requires anyone to obtain a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card (FOID) before they can possess any firearm or even ammunition, according to the Illinois State Police Firearms Service Bureau. The New Civil Liberties Alliance announced the litigation in a Tuesday release, bringing the action on behalf of several Illinois residents including a Navy veteran and a restaurant owner.

“Under the FOID scheme, the state denies all residents the right to keep and bear arms unless and until they satisfy the ISP that they are eligible—and reserves the right to revoke permission instantly, at any time,” the complaint says.

So, a man tried to stop a home invasion with his cell phone. You see, I'll let you guess how that worked out.

This was LA, so they didn't need to be armed. There were 2 home invaders, and they nailed this guy, a neighbor with a cellphone, with a can of bear spray. He is lucky that they didn't have a firearm, but then crooks in Los Angeles don't really need firearms.

The perfect ecosystem for predatory criminals.

Licenses Delayed = Rights Denied

Mark W. Smith, of the Four Boxes Diner channel on YouTube, and Rumble, had an article published in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy: Licenses Delayed, Rights Denied: How Contemporary Firearm Carry Licensing Regimes Continue To Violate the Second Amendment. It is from the fall of 2025, but I only recently ran across it.

The Supreme Court's decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen¹ was meant to vindicate the Second Amendment's text and historical traditions against discretionary state licensing schemes that denied ordinary citizens their constitutional right to bear arms in public. Yet three years after Bruen, a predictable pattern has emerged: jurisdictions hostile to gun rights have responded not with compliance, but with sophisticated resistance.

Mark W. Smith doesn't talk about if any lawsuits are directed at this resistance, he only mentions that the Supreme Court noted such lawsuits could be brought. Even so, I'm a bit surprised to see this in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. Maybe I have misjudged them. It isn't so much a "Pro-2A" article, as an article exposing how "Progressive" states are fighting against Bruen.

The requirements are bonkers, including $2100 in fees. The crazy thing is that the US government wrote the Japanese constitution, and didn't give them the 2nd amendment.

Anti-Gun Group Hates Concealed Carry

And so the anti-gun crowd is becoming hysterical.

So, it’s understandable that those who want to restrict and subvert the Second Amendment are getting desperate. In fact, they’re willing to try almost anything to restrict access to firearms while President Trump is in office. It’s as if they never even heard of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen.

Enter the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions.

These egg-headed goons want to roll back the clock to the late 1980s. Their just-released “Public Carry Permitting: Model Policy Guide” is pretty much what some states offered decades ago. It’s laughable—a trip back in time. Nowadays, it’s likely too restrictive for even the bluest of blue states.

My idea worth spreading: The gun debate traps us in a false choice between rights and safety. We escape this trap the same way we escape a finger trap: we release tension by moving toward each other. Curiosity makes this possible. Democracy makes it worth doing.
