From the Seattle area we get the following story. King County homeowner shoots at intruder during break-in
A homeowner in south King County shot at someone who broke into their home Tuesday morning, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
"Shot at" not shot. We all need more time at the range.
From this statement, and one other, I get the impression that the professional journalist is confused on the subject of armed self-defense.
No arrests were made by deputies following the shooting incident.
Or perhaps they just expect their readers to be confused on that subject.
There is no evidence that anyone was injured.
Washington State has a long history of recognizing the right to self-defense.
