Not content to "just" start a wildly successful comic book (and possibly, media) company, Eric July found time to perform on song and appear in a music video in 2023.
Okay, so it isn't exactly a Halloween song, with the title of the song being the only part that fits that category.
This is "Bloodsucker" by Through Arteries featuring vocals by Eric July. It was released as a single on 28 July, 2023. Other than that I know actually nothing about Through Arteries. If you're interested in the lyrics, click thru to YouTube; they can be found in the video description.
Surprised to learn something new about Eric July. I've never heard him mention anything like this. He has been a regular on a TV show I watch weeknights on The Blaze.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't tell you the last time I read a comic book, but I'm guessing over 50 years ago. Might have to pick up a Rippaverse comic and see what it's like.
You can only get Rippaverse comics from his site. I haven't looked to see what he has available, there was a sale going on a few months back, where you could get what copies of "issue #1" of his comic. Might still be available.
DeleteMost of the writers and artists from the 20th century, who are still active, have been pushed out of Marvel, DC, and the like. A few are doing things on their own by way of IndieGoGo, though Eric has launched a division of his company to help people fulfill orders.
As I mentioned, in a post recently on comics, Marvel and DC have been taken over by DEI, and their circulation has crashed because of that. Image and Dark Horse are in better shape, but not a lot. 1 Japanese Manga can outsell the entire US comic book industry
