Self Defense in Mississippi

I'm guessing he didn't plan on his day working out this way. POLICE: Man killed after threatening driver, homeowner in D’Iberville

First he shot at a driver, while he was driving. Then he accosted a homeowner in his driveway.

While police were investigating that first shooting, officers received another call of a shooting at a home on Gorenflo Road.

When police arrived, Parker was found dead on the driveway. During their investigation, police said they learned Parker had previously threatened the homeowner.

He had been shot one time by the homeowner.

D'Iberville, Mississippi is about 1 mile north of Biloxi. It lies just across Biloxi Bay, on the mainland, while Biloxi is on a peninsula on the Gulf Coast.

The details are thin, but the police are still investigating. My guess, which is only a guess, is that this is a case of what The Other McCain calls, "Crazy People Are Dangerous."

Still, the cops didn't arrest anyone, because self defense is a human right, and in Mississippi it appears to be your legal right.
